Wynn Casino Dealers Score 10-year Labor Contract

Crunch Casino Staff - 6 Nov 2010

At the Wynn casino in Las Vegas dealers have voted to approve a decade long contract.

At the Wynn the dealers are part of a union that managed to score a victory for its members, although in order to do so had to give up a valuable prize. The dealers were hoping to divest themselves of a tip-sharing policy, one where a dealer’s immediate supervisor gets a cut of the dealer’s tips. That policy will remain in place for now, although there is a court case pending that my remove it permanently.

In the meantime the dealers have secured a new 10-year labor contract, a big victory for the three-year old union and the first of its kind for the Wynn casino.
