Tropicana Casino Suffers Water Damage

Crunch Casino Staff - 15 Nov 2010

One broken sprinkler head damaged five rooms at an Atlantic City casino this weekend.

When workers accidentally broke a sprinkler head in a room at the Tropicana Casino and Resort the resultant waterworks wound up damaging five rooms.

Saturday night's incident took place in the Havana Tower at the Tropicana Casino and triggered a fire alarm. While no one was hurt in the resultant deluge it did cause severe water damage to the rooms.

City firefighters responded in order to help pump out excess water, but despite their appearance and the fire alarms there were not many major disruptions at the casino. In fact the guests in only one of the damaged rooms needed to be moved as a result of the incident.

When the sprinkler head was broken the resultant water damage affected that room as well as three more rooms on that floor and the room directly beneath the one with the broken sprinkler head.
